BACKGROUND CHECK POLICY
Tilton Sports Center (“TSC”) is committed to ensuring that its missions are supported by qualified staff members and that its community is as safe as possible. TSC is also committed to taking meaningful actions to
protect its finances, property, and other assets. This policy sets forth TSC's procedures for conducting pre-employment background checks for all staff positions.
For any volunteer or employee younger than 18 years old who will be left alone with a child or children, the
Tilton Sports Center requires the minor to provide a minimum of 3 written references, at least two of which is
from a non-relative, attesting to their knowledge of the minor’s character as it relates to whether the minor has caused or threatened to cause direct physical injury to any individual or harm of any nature to any child or children and their opinion on whether the minor is a good candidate to work directly with youth.
